East and West Beach: condos and houses close to the water, with the tightest parking and the steepest approaches.

Next door in South Surrey: many “White Rock” addresses are actually in South Surrey, which has its own municipal services.

Downsizing Moves

White Rock has one of the older populations in Metro Vancouver, and many moves here are people downsizing from a house to a condo. That changes the plan:

Measure the new space first and decide what fits before moving day, not on it.
Sort the rest early: family, donation, sale and recycling, four to six weeks ahead.
Move in stages if it helps. A small move for a few pieces now and the main move later can make a big transition easier.

Allow for the full route

For a Vancouver or Richmond destination, Highway 99 and the George Massey Tunnel may be part of the route; other addresses may call for a different crossing. For Langley, compare the relevant eastbound roads using the actual destination. Check current conditions rather than treating one route as best for every move.

Ask the provider to work backwards from the delivery window, including loading and unloading. An off-peak start can help, but it does not guarantee clear roads or available parking.

Confirm a lawful loading place

Ask the building where a truck may stop, its clearance and how long loading is permitted. Check posted restrictions and the City’s current parking information; paying for a space does not make it suitable for every vehicle or reserve a loading area. Ask the City about any approval needed for the specific arrangement.

In a hypothetical hillside move, the closest parking might still be below a long stairway. Send a photo from the proposed truck position to the entrance, count the steps and measure narrow turns. Those details let the provider assess the work before arrival.
